BURN MMA Booking and Cancellation Policy
TO BOOK A TRIAL
From our timetable page, click through and choose the class you want. You will need to make payment on the day of your first class or by bank transfer. If classes are full we do operate a waiting list. If you book yourself onto the waiting list, please check your emails/texts for notification of a space. We can book classes and take payments for you in person at the Dojo, but it is far easier for you to go online and then call us; especially if we are very busy with our classes!
BECOMING AN OFFICIAL STUDENT
After your four week trial is over, all students must be licensed in order to continue training. The licence covers your insurance in the event of an accident in the training room, gives you permission to use the techniques taught to you in the event of a self-defence situation and makes you an official member of our Dojo. In addition, a standing order for your training fees must be set up to pay us within the first ten days of the month, followed by the purchase of a uniform. However, we understand that sometimes, paying for something as one lump can be difficult; upon request, you may split the Licence and Uniform payments over two separate months.
CANCELLING A CLASS/ENDING YOUR TIME WITH US
We operate a strict cancellation policy as classes are very popular. You must cancel your trial with at least 24 hours notice before the scheduled start time or you will lose your payment. Within your trial, if there are lessons you cannot attend, please again give us at least 24 hours notice and we will book in a different class for you. Unattended sessions without prior notification will be lost. Please respect this and have consideration for other members so they can book into your space. We understand that things pop up in every day life that can suddenly change your plans, but please cancel your space as soon as you know if you cannot make it.
If you are a licensed student, we will need 30 DAYS NOTICE of your resignation in writing (you may send this via text or email) otherwise you will still be charged for the entire month of training.
We do not issue refunds. If, however, you would like to take a break from training this is absolutely fine. You can freeze your standing order by using online banking or contacting your bank/building society. Please send us written notification of this so we can update our records.
We operate waiting lists for all classes on our timetable if the class is full. If you get a space in the class, BURN MMA will send a text/email update to inform you. Please note that the 24hr cancellation policy will automatically apply as soon as you gain a space off the waiting list, so if you receive a space in class less than 24hrs before the class start time and fail to turn up then you will be charged. If you know that you can no longer make it, please contact us to remove yourself from the waiting list to avoid gaining a space.
Payment must be made in full at the time of booking to secure the slot. We operate a 24hr cancellation policy for these bookings as well. If you cancel more than 24hrs before the booking, we will discuss and re-book a slot with you. We do not issue refunds. If you cancel less than 24hrs before the booking, the payment will not be credited to your booking account and payment is lost.
Payment must be made in full at the time of booking to secure the slot. As these are special events, with instructors who have set aside special time for the seminar, bookings and payment for any seminars are final and cannot be cancelled or refunded. You may however transfer the space to a friend, but this must be confirmed in advance via text or email to BURN MMA.
After the student receives their grading letter which gives them permission to grade, payments must be made no later than 7 DAYS before the exam date, outlined on the letter. If you are late handing in your licence AND/OR payment is late, you will be charged a late fee of £10.00. If you cannot make the grading, please let us know at least 7 days before the exam date to avoid extra charges.
